My menu selections were for an evening dining experience in January 2014.
Appetizer:
WOOD-FIRED
CHICKEN AND ARTICHOKE DIPCorn tortilla chips
Entrée:
FETTUCCINI
ALFREDO with chicken
Mushroom ragu, marinated peppers, broccolini, alfredo sauce
Dessert:
CARAMEL APPLE TART
Flaky pie crust, salted caramel, vanilla ice cream
Let’s start with service. For me, it wouldn’t matter
how good the food was if I had a group of surly wait staff. Everyone at Trezo
Mare was friendly and welcoming, providing recommendations for food and
ensuring we were happy and full of
drink.
The appetizer was typical, nothing special though
nothing wrong either.
I waffled on what to have for the main course. The wild
salmon intrigued but I went with an old staple, the rarely disappointing
Fettuccini Alfredo. I have this meal regularly so feel I am qualified to say
this entre was only average. The noodles were precisely cooked al dente, but
overall the dish lacked real flavor. The sauce was a little runny, lacking body
and depth.
As for the desert, the caramel apple tart was flavorful and perfectly combined the warmth of the pie with the melting ice cream. The caramel was balanced. The crust, described as flaky, on the menu was tough and couldn’t be broken easily with my spoon – my only complaint for an otherwise balanced, not too sweet final course.
Would I eat there again? Sure. I’d give it a chance. My overall rating is about a 3.5 Jots, considering my overall experience.
In summary: Go ahead and give it a try. Prices were reasonable and there was plenty on the menu to assume the next meal would be at least equal to my experience, if not better.

Sounds like a place I would like to go!
